For the past several years, Stroud Industrial has custom designed containment, or “blast” blankets, that are currently in use at steel mills, paper mills, manufacturing plants, and testing facilities throughout the country. These ballistic or machine guarding blankets are used on centrifugal and induction pressure blowers and fans, axial fans, belt guards, air movement systems, material handling systems, pressure vessels, milling machines, lumber mill wood chippers, and much more.
Stroud ballistic containment blankets are custom designed to your specifications, regardless of size, operating environment, or containment requirements. The degree of ballistic containment, heat generation, environment, and ease of use are just some of the considerations assessed in the design of a ballistic blanket. These blankets are available in Kevlar, ballistic nylon, aluminized Kevlar, and fiberglass. Stroud blankets are manufactured without seams, which can easily fail in a catastrophic event. Precise attachment points and ease of installation ensures that the product will be properly installed.
Independent lab-certified, shot-test results are available for a variety of testing parameters on request.

A manufacturer of commercial truck vehicle systems uses Stroud Industrial ballistic blankets to cover leaf springs in their test rigs.
Manufactured at the Stroud facility, this massive, custom containment blanket will be used on a Wallace Coast pipe bending machine at a Boeing manufacturing plant. Stroud Industrial Safety Solutions specializes in custom blast and containment solutions for industrial applications throughout the United States. Our blankets are constructed with ballistic nylon, kevlar, and a variety of other materials depending on the specific needs of the customer.
Custom designed Stroud ballistic blankets are providing a safety solution for 84" and 58" wood chippers at Boise Cascade lumber mills. These seamless ballistic nylon containment blankets are critical to help ensure the safety of personnel and damage to surrounding machinery in case of a catastrophic equipment failure.

Stroud Industrial Safety Solutions recently designed a custom ballistic containment solution for an oil field fracking pressure testing platform at a major university. The seamless ballistic nylon construction is reinforced with strapping, and features panels that can be removed for access to instrumentation.
This specialized blanket was designed for ballistic containment on hi-capacity milling machines for an aeronautical manufacturer. It is constructed with seamless, aluminized Kevlar and ballistic nylon strapping for maximum protection and ease of installation.
